New treatment service in Western Australia

Launch of new treatment facility in WA.

“The Alcohol Education & Rehabilitation Foundation and The Hon. Jim McGinty, Minister for Health officially launched the new Men’s House at Palmerston Farm, just outside Perth. For more detail please see the media release.

The House was part of a policy partnership with to increase alcohol and other drug treatment capacity within Perth and Western Australia.”


  1. # Aboriginal Alcohol& Drug Service (AADS) Provides counselling and training for Aboriginal people affected directly or indirectly by alcohol and substance abuse.

    # Aboriginal Health Council of WA (AHCWA) Peak body for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) in WA. AHCWA acts as a forum for Aboriginal controlled health care, develops networks, provides research, policy development and strategic planning. Advocates for health care services and implements Aboriginal programs.

    # Aboriginal Hostel Limited Provides temporary accommodation services to indigenous people, including meals. Assists community organisations to operate hotels accommodating indigenous people.
