What you’ll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

- Demonstrated experience and skills in providing complex care in the relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced based nursing care
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
- Demonstrated ability to liaise, negotiate and act as a resource person and advanced practitioner to health services and a range of other service providers on drug and alcohol related health issues
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in drug and alcohol clinical practices including assessment, planning, treatment management, and clinical leadership underpinned by evidenced based practice
