September 9, 2014 is International Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Day. FASD Awareness Day was created to alert people to the importance of not drinking alcohol during pregnancy and the need to provide effective services for individuals and families impacted by these disorders.

Mindful of this the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education (FARE) has launched its ‘Pregnant Pause’ project both to raise awareness and raise funds to prevent FASD and to support people living with FASD.
