Seeking an experience Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinical Nurse / Clinical Nurse Specialist to join a multi-disciplinary team to delivering services to the Alice Springs and Barkly region.
Nurse 3 – Remuneration Package Range $111,176 – $118,675
(Comprising salary $96,368 – $102,964, superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave) In addition to above Package Range, salary sacrifice provisions apply.
Nurse 4 – Remuneration Package Range $123,537 – $132,602
(Comprising salary $107,240 – $115,213, superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave) In addition to above Package Range, salary sacrifice provisions apply.
Selection will be made at the Nurse 3 or Nurse 4 level depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
Alcohol and Other Drugs Services Central Australia (ADSCA) within Central Australia Health Service provides treatment and support to patients affected by alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in the Alice Springs and Barkly communities. Working with a professional, multi-disciplinary team the Clinic provides community based AOD management and treatment including Drug and Alcohol health assessments; Nursing and Medical reviews; Drug and Alcohol withdrawal management; counselling and psychotherapy; case management and provides an Opiate Pharmacotherapy Program.
As Clinical Nurse / Clinical Nurse Specialist you will promote AOD nursing practice in assessment, brief intervention, withdrawal management and treatment planning in collaboration with a range of service providers and manage a case load of ADSCA patients, including patients on the Opioid Pharmacotherapy Program. You will also have the opportunity to deliver drug and alcohol education to other health professionals and community groups.
A Graduate Diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) would be highly regarded.
