Are you an Aboriginal Health Worker or Practitioner experienced in the AOD/Mental Health field and looking to expand your career? Do you want to be part of WHOS exciting cultural activities and initiatives for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients?
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner to join WHOS multidisciplinary teams in Sydney at our Rozelle campus. WHOS (We Help Ourselves) based in NSW and QLD, caters for individuals who are experiencing difficulties with alcohol and other drug dependence. This is a chance to work in an organisation providing holistic care for individuals within residential Therapeutic Community programs!
This position is required to ensure that culturally appropriate activities and initiatives for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients are implemented, maintained and monitored at all times. The position has a strong communication focus that extends to understanding needs and priorities and developing opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration between WHOS and local Aboriginal communities and community organisations.
This is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identified position (an applicant’s race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW).
Remuneration negotiable based on experience and qualifications and according to award conditions.
