We are delighted to announce that DANA’s Inaugural Drug and Alcohol Nurse Practitioner one-day symposium will take place on Thursday August 15th, 2019. This is open to Nurse Practitioners, and those of you in transitional or candidate positions. Come away from the day with increased confidence in harnessing the collective potential of Drug and Alcohol Nurse Practitioners.
The DANA Conference 2019 will follow on Friday August 16th 2019. ‘The Power of Connection’ is the event theme; selected to remind us that in the increasingly impersonal digital age, the power to lead and make change is still derived from the relationships that we build.
But that isn’t all. Make it a 3-day celebration of learning and attend a post- DANA Conference workshop! In collaboration with the Kirby Institute, the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine, ASHM, has planned a workshop, Hepatitis C in Primary Care and Drug and Alcohol Settings, for Saturday August 17th . Its goal is to strengthen the capacity of Drug and Alcohol Nurse Practitioners and other nurses working in drug and alcohol settings to effectively test for, treat and manage hepatitis C.
