About the Role
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to be a part of the Regional Dual Disability Service providing assistance to consumers with an intellectual disability and co-existing mental illness. You will have a central role in the assessment, co-ordination and monitoring of treatment while offering information and support to families and whanau. In addition, you will be a liaison providing education and training and consultancy services to other service providers.
This is a full time role (40 hours per week), based in Whangarei.
Our ideal candidate will possess a strong desire and ability to work as part of a positive and productive multidisciplinary team, be highly motivated and have excellent communication and computer skills.
You will also hold
- a current full drivers licence
- a current annual practising certificate
- have experience working in the alcohol and drug field
- skills in assessing and treating people experiencing co-existing intellectual disabilities and mental health disorders.
