This permanent full time position located at Nepean Hospital and will primarily be providing Consultation Liaison Services to the patients and staff of the Nepean Hospital.

The position will provide sound clinical assessment, nursing management, supportive counselling and referral of patients referred to the Drug & Alcohol Consultation and Liaison Services by medical, nursing or ancillary practitioners, both from within the hospital and as outpatients, including patients referred for opioid treatment programs and detoxification.

The position will provide specialist advice regarding the assessment and ongoing nursing management of drug and alcohol affected patients.

The role has responsibilities to liaise closely with Drug and Alcohol staff and other services, including emergency department, general medical /surgical wards, drugs in pregnancy, mental health and community services and General Practitioners.
