This position involves working two nights per week from 8pm – 8am.
*general oversight of consumers
*regular consumer and property checks
*ensuring the property is secure overnight
*administering medication to consumers
*providing a listening ear for consumers who may wake during the night
*some general housekeeping duties
Mental Health experience essential; must have psychiatric nursing on scope of practice.
Experience with alcohol and other drug treatment an advantage.
Minimum of an Enrolled Nursing qualification required.

We are seeking to fill a 3 month temporary secondment for a full-time clinical nurse from April 11 2011 (or later by negotiation) to July 10 2011, based at Pine Rivers Community Health Centre (with some duties also at Chermside Community Health Centre).
The position is responsible for providing Alcohol and Drug assessment, ongoing treatment and referral in an out-patient setting, as well as contributing to the multi-disciplinary team (see attached PD for more information).
Training would be offered as needed to up skill any suitable applicants, and would provide valuable dual diagnosis experience for any current mental health nurses.
