The Queensland Government is currently considering how best to tackle alcohol-fuelled violence. ‘Action on Alcohol’ is a campaign that seeks to reduce the number of alcohol-related harms and deaths in Queensland using a comprehensive and sophisticated approach.
It needs to be a proactive approach that tackles the issues before lives are ruined, not after.
Too much harm is being caused by alcohol…in 2012, Queensland hospital emergency departments saw 91,783 alcohol-related presentations – an increase of 31% in just five years.
Prevent these harms and make our communities safer…and follow this link to a petition to the premier of Queensland.
As similar actions come to light in other parts of Australia and New Zealand they will be added to the website.
