DANA is comprised of several regional chapters. Each of these chapters either provides, or contributes to, local professional development events and activities. A few examples are listed below:
The ACT Journal Club meets on the third Tuesday of every month, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Tilley’s Café in Lyneham for dinner, company and a lively chat. Interested in attending? Contact Amanda: email@example.com

In 2016 the ACT Chapter hosted the ‘Together, Everyone Achieves More’ symposium. It was the result of a collaboration between the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) and DANA. It purpose was to explore mental health and drug and alcohol issues and to discuss the team approach that is required to best meet the needs of consumers.
The Addiction Nurse Seminars are a collaboration between DANA and Matua Raki and are a regular event on the educational calendar of addiction nurses in New Zealand.

Through its partnership agreement with the Drug and Alcohol Practitioners’ Association Aotearoa–New Zealand (DAPAANZ) DANA members have enjoyed regular involvement with the annual ‘Cutting Edge Conferences’ including a special DANA Members’ Meeting during the lunch break

WOWS one-day symposia
The Walk on the Wildside Symposia began in 2007. It has evolved into an annual event held in May each year in Brisbane. These days it is known as WOWS.

The South Australian DANA Chapter is looking for a champion to re-introduce its monthly educational meetings.
