DANA's Annual Conference is beneficial for nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives and all health professionals from across Australasia who have an interest in Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) issues, to be inspired by, and connect with, esteemed colleagues.
DANA's 2026 Conference centres around the theme “GRIT – Growth, Resilience, Innovation and Teamwork.” and will deliver the very latest information relevant to drug and alcohol nurses in Australasia.
This three day event offers delegates the opportunity to hear from leaders in the field — a chance to share knowledge about contemporary issues and effective clinical practice. Wollongong 2026 Conference will include two dedicated streams as part of the breakout sessions scheduled throughout the three day program. To assist the conference team with catering and room numbers, please check the box on the registration form to indicate if you are interested in one of the specific streams and/or whether you are planning to attend the general conference program only.
AOD Essentials Nursing Stream
This stream is embedded across the 3 day program and key sessions are designed for all nurses and healthcare professionals new to working with people impacted by alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
Nurse Practitioners Stream
This stream is embedded across the 3 day program and sessions are devoted to the educational needs of Nurse Practitioners in an AOD setting. This stream is also suitable for delegates interested in becoming an Nurse Practitioner.
If you change your mind during the conference, you are welcome to attend a different session on the day Indicating your interest in a particular stream is helpful to our conference team to plan for likely delegate numbers for each breakout session.
Wollongong 2026 is a three day conference with specialist streams programmed across all three days. We recommend that delegates register for the Full Conference (Three Days): 5-7 August 2026. If however, you are only able to attend one or two days, you can select and pay for the single days you wish to attend from the registration types below.
